About me
#Experience
I'm a co-founder and CTO at Vecten (formerly Sunscrapers), a software consultancy. Over a decade I've been delivering data-intensive systems and cloud applications, building teams, and providing technical guidance. We've delivered more than 250 projects for clients from all over the world, mostly US-based.
I spend a significant amount of time on all aspects of running the company, but I still love crafting code and building things with a hands-on approach. When it comes to programming languages, Python is my favorite choice, next to Go and TypeScript.
#Consultancy
There are many ways I can help:
- Code audit for a due diligence process
- Building and leading engineering teams
- Creating a PoC or production application
- Solving scaling issues and improving software architecture
- Transitioning legacy code to modern stacks
The best way to start working together is to contact through Vecten as these requests are handled quickly. You can also reach out to me directly, though response times may be slower.
#Personal
I'm a father of two, husband to my wife Ola ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ and the human for my dog Haps ๐. I live in Warsaw, Poland. I moved here from Lublin for studies at Warsaw University of Technology, and it seems I settled here for life.
I enjoy traveling, especially with my family. I love tinkering ๐ช and practicing sports such as kitesurfing ๐ช๐, swimming ๐, tennis ๐พ and team games โฝ๏ธ๐.
#Communities
Most of what I achieved in my life is thanks to open source and the people behind it. My first step to really understand programming and computer networks was installing Slackware Linux โ I was in middle school at that time. Years later, every project we work on at Vecten is significantly backed by open source technologies.
That is why I'm committed to giving back to the open source world and its communities.
I actively co-organize the Python User Group in Warsaw, called PyWaw, which I co-founded in 2011. Over the years I was involved in organizing conferences like PyWaw Summit and Makerland. I was also a programme committee member at PyCon PL.
#Talks
I've spoken at various meetups and conferences, and I'm always open to new opportunities to share my knowledge and experience. If you're interested in having me as a speaker at your event, please reach out directly. Some of my slides are available online as well as earlier talks.
